"I have no ideas. Only memories"
- La Notte
Michelangelo Antonioni's La Notte forms the central chapter of his stark, devastating trilogy bookended by L'Avventura and L'Eclisse. A day and a night in the life of a deteriorating marriage, set against Milan's gleaming modern towers, La Notte won Antonioni the Golden Bear for Best Film at the 1961 Berlinale.
Film Forum is screening a new restoration of La Notte, through September 22.
