"Le Cinéma Club is Netflix for cinephiles" - Vogue
As part of its continued mission to expand and inform audiences of contemporary world cinema, Filmatique is proud to announce a new collaboration with Le Cinéma Club.
Based in Paris and New York, Marie-Louise Khondji curates Le Cinéma Club, an online theater that showcases one film per week— works of new directors, rare films, selected documentaries. Past programs include works from Antonio Campos, Spike Jonze, Benh Zeitlin, Sebastián Silva and Andrea Arnold.
Last week Le Cinéma Club celebrated of its 50th film: Ben Safdie's first short The Acquaintances of Lonely John. This week its follow-up is presented— John's Gone, co-directed by Josh and Ben Safdie, the young New York filmmakers behind critically acclaimed Heaven Knows What.
