"Vivid, intense, artful" - Indiewire Sundance review
Capitulating his dark fascination with onscreen violence, New York-based filmmaker Antonio Campos delivers a portrait of Christine Chubbuck, the oft-mythologized reporter for a local Sarasota TV station who committed suicide on live television in 1974. Christine premiered at Sundance alongside another film examining her life— Robert Greene's Kate Plays Christine— and stars Rebecca Hall in the stunning titular performance.
Christine opens Friday October 14 for an exclusive engagement with Film Forum. Screenwriter/Producer Craig Shilowich will be on-hand for a Q&A following Friday's screening; Rebecca Hall on Saturday.
